Vacancy: Clerk to the Governors

Coberley C of E Primary School is looking to appoint an organised and efficient Clerk to the Governors, also known as a Governance Professional.

This is an essential statutory role.

We are looking for a professional who will provide not only effective administrative support to the Governing Board, but who can provide advice to the Board on governance, constitutional and procedural matters to ensure that it operates efficiently, complies with legal frameworks, and meets its statutory duties.

Therefore, knowledge and experience of school governance, and in particular this role, would be preferable, but training will be available for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be expected to attend 6 Full Governing Board meetings a year. Our scheduled meetings are held in the afternoon on week days.

Aside from meeting attendance, the role can be carried out flexibly and will be mainly home-based. Access to a computer and internet is essential to the role.

Vacancy: Handy Person

Coberley C of E Primary School are looking to recruit a handy person on a zero hours contract.

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our team. The role will be varied and require initiative. We need someone who will be as proud of our school as we are and who will ensure that our school and grounds are the best they possibly can be at all times. This role is perfect for someone with solid practical, maintenance, and DIY skills.

This will involve a variety of general DIY, basic plumbing, general carpentry, moving furniture, assembling flat-pack furniture, basic electrics, grounds maintenance and basic health and safety checks.
