Our Geography Curriculum

Our Geography curriculum has been carefully crafted so that our children develop their geographical capital with a focus on local and worldwide geography. Our Geography offer has been created following the National Curriculum. We want our children to remember their geography lessons, to cherish these memories and embrace the geographic opportunities they are presented with.
Our Geography curriculum for all classes is built around our Fab 5 Statements, providing a consistent structure throughout our school and enabling children to progress their geographical knowledge and skills.
Our Fab 5 statements are:
- Locational Knowledge: I know the locations of different continents, countries, cities and towns
- Place Knowledge: I know the geographical similarities and differences of different locations
- Human Geography: I know a variety of human geographical features
- Physical: I know a variety of physical features and how they are formed
- Geographical Skills and Fieldwork: I know how to use maps, atlases, globes, compass directions, aerial photographs to support my geographical understanding. I know how to complete fieldwork and observational skills
