Colour Run 2024
Coberley Rainbow Run
We will be holding a colour run after school on Friday 17 May. This is a fun run (not a timed race) during which participants will run round a course on the field and coloured powder will be thrown at them. The idea is to get as colourful as possible in 15 minutes. There will also be food, drinks and a raffle on the day.
Registration for the race will start at 3.15pm, and food and drink will be available from then, with the race warm up starting at 3.45pm.
It will cost £5 per participant to enter - spectators are free. Children and adults are welcome to join in the event.
In order to ensure that we purchase the correct amount of powder and medals, parents/carers, please book your tickets by paying on ParentPay by 26 April. Booking is the only way to guarantee you will receive medals on the day.
Your child (or you) will not be able to participate if you have not got agreement via ParentPay for the below waiver.
Information
Please ensure you understand all of the following points before you purchase your tickets.
- Please arrive promptly so we can sign you in and issue you with your participant wristbands
- All children must be supervised during this event, and adults are welcome to run with the children. Spectating is free.
- On the day children participating in the event should wear their rainbow run clothing to school. We recommend a white t-shirt to pick up the colours.
- During the event you run round a track at school and have coloured powder thrown at you. The aim is to get as colourful as you can. It is not a timed race and you can go round as many times as you like within 15 minutes. There will be some obstacles to tackle on the way around. You can avoid obstacles/colour stations if you want to.
- The £5 entry fee ensures that we cover costs - in order to raise funds for school we will also give the children a sponsor form. This is optional, but it would be fantastic if you could encourage the children to raise sponsorship money.
- The coloured powders thrown are 100% safe, non-toxic and biodegradable, however any clothes or shoes worn may become stained even after washing and we cannot take any responsibility for stained clothing or belongings.
- Goggles, glasses or sunglasses to protect eyes from the powder are mandatory for children and recommended for adults. If it does get into your eyes wash it out immediately at the first aid station.
- The powder should not cause harm to participants however we recommend that you do not take part if you have a respiratory, skin or medical condition that could be affected. If in doubt, please consult your GP prior to buying a ticket.
- If you are driving home we recommend that you bring towels to cover your car seats and any wipes you may need. Getting changed in the school building will not be permitted.
- Lastly - don’t forget to take some before and after photos!
